The PayPal PayFlow Pro allows you to connect the merchant account to a payment gateway that is fully customizable. The main advantage of this is that customers can pay by credit card without having to leave your site. It also includes express Checkout transactions.
All you will need is a Paypal business account and the following configuration. The configuration is a three step process where, the first step will configure the REQUIRED SETTINGS, Then the BASIC SETTINGS FOR PAYFLOW PRO and then the BASIC SETTINGS FOR EXPRESS CHECKOUT.
REQUIRED SETTINGS
Go to the admin panel of your Magento Store. And select configuration.
Under Sales, click on Payment Methods.
Select the location of your business in the “Merchant Country”
Click on the configure button under PayPal Payment Gateways, in the PayPal Payflow Pro section.
Enter the following details for the required PayPal Settings
• Email addr associated with your PayPal merchant account.
• User: should be the additional user you set up for PayPal.
• Username: to login to PayPal
• Vendor: PayPal login name
• Password: For your PayPal account
• Sandbox testing can be set to yes or no as per your preference.
After that’s done, set the “Enable this solution” to YES.
BASIC SETTINGS FOR PAYFLOW PRO
Set the current configuration scope for multiple views.
Title: This will identify the Payflow Pro during checkout.
Enter a sort order for multiple payment methods at your store.
Payment Action could be either Authorization or Sale. Authorization approves the purchase and puts funds on hold. The merchant needs to “capture” the amount for the payment to be made. For Sales, the amount is immediately captured from customers account.
Then select the credit card you would like to allow for your Magento store under “Allow Credit Card Types”.
Under Advanced settings, configure the required settings for Payment applicable from – specify the countries, set whether CVV is required or not.
You can even enable 3D Secure Card Validation on Frontend.
Other than these you will be allowed settings for Settlement report and Front end experience settings.
BASIC SETTINGS FOR EXPRESS CHECKOUT
Set Current configuration scope for multiple store views. Complete all the basic settings as shown below:
